BuiltItDev ("we", "our", "the site") is a free collection of browser-based tools for developers, designers and finance professionals. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), why, and how.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Every tool on BuiltItDev runs 100% in your browser. No data you enter into any tool is ever sent to our servers.
  • We do not require you to create an account or sign up.
  • We do not store passwords, files, code, or any tool input/output.
  • We do not sell your data to any third party.

3. Data We Do Collect

3a. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymised data including: pages visited, country, browser type, and device type. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected. No cookies are used for analytics.

3b. Advertising

BuiltItDev currently does not display any advertisements. No third-party ad networks are active on this site at this time. When advertising is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect the specific networks used and the data practices involved.

3c. Local Storage

We store your theme preference (light/dark mode) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

4. Cookies

BuiltItDev does not set any cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics operate in cookie-free, anonymised modes. Your browser settings related to cookies will not affect the functionality of any tool on this site.

5. Third-Party Services

No advertising networks are currently active. This list will be updated when ad partners are introduced.

6. Children's Privacy

BuiltItDev is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
